It’s not every day you get to take sweet photos of some of your best couple friends *and* get to call it work. Caelen and Austin are expecting their sweet second child, another baby girl, due in March. They’ve named her Sophia and I am so excited to meet her and welcome her into this world! Watching Reagan become a big sister will be such a gift to Caelen and Austin, and all those who know her. Other recent sessions I’ve loved watching a little girl become a big sister can be seen here (Jordan and Ryan’s Maternity Session and Penelope Jo’s Newborn Session).

When we got there, and I showed the back of my camera to our friends with everyone smiling and looking at the camera, I knew the rest of the session could really only go up from there because they got the one photo that would mean the most to them during our time. When you’re photographing a family with another young toddler, this pose becomes critical because it’s the one both mom and dad want the most (and it’s usually the hardest image to capture depending on the toddler’s mood!)

Caelen and Austin nailed their session though, even bringing Grandma to help provide breaks for Reagan so we could grab some of just mom and dad – where the love began, and continue documenting this important milestone and relationship for them. Adding Reagan into sets was of course, icing on the cake, and some of my favorite moments of the entire session were watching her interact with her mama while there!

This family means so, so much to us and I hope that shows in how we were able to document some of my favorite moments here. As one chapter closes and another begins, it can be so fun to look back on these moments that are so fleeting in time with full and grateful hearts for “how life was when”. I love helping document these special connections so when families look back, they have nothing but contentment and can see the love which has grown. Caelen and Austin, I hope these images bring you back to the love you shared as a family of three and you cherish these moments for years to come! It was an honor to serve and love your growing family. Thank you for being such important people in our lives!
