I could tell from the email we were going to be the perfect fit. You spend so much time as a small business owner learning your craft and talent, practicing for hours on end to improve, and truly learning your client inside and out.
When the email came through as a referral from a trusted source, with a tight turn around, and my schedule was available on one of the dates they had selected, I knew it was a great match on both ends.
One of my favorite sessions to date, Lindsay trusted every part of the process from the Client Style Guide to the location selected, to allowing me to choose the time for her session. It made for the biggest impact in her final images because I was able to use my favorite tricks and tools to improve her gallery just that much more.
Lindsay is a senior graduating from the Prism North America school system, which her mom established as a virtual online learning program prior to 2020 when most of the schools went virtual, as a way for parents to align their own core values to those being taught in school. She is well-accomplished including a myriad of AP classes and entering college with 30+ credit hours.
Her mom described her in an email as “fun, sweet, and principled” and I would have to agree. Lindsay was also ready with some of her own session ideas, because as her parents put it, they were fully expecting to do her senior photos themselves and Lindsay had been studying poses.
This alone makes me all the more excited to send Lindsay her final gallery because she totally *rocked* it in front of the camera, and at the end gave me the highest praise possible when she said I made her session fun and she felt comfortable with the process! I loooove to hear this because senior sessions can be hard when you realize you are the one and only subject for 90 or so minutes! I love that Lindsay commented on being comfortable and having fun because that is always my goal!
Lindsay, I hope you love your final images and cherish them for years to come! It was such an honor to create a beautiful product with you, and such a ham of a time having Hamilton and your mom and dad there as well! I can’t wait to see what college and beyond holds for you! It’s going to be such an incredible experience. 🙂
