Kim and Jimmy chose possibly my favorite month of the year to get married, so going into their wedding day, I was already super thrilled for wedding season in October to be back in Arizona. A combination of cultures, the couple chose a traditional Jewish ceremony in the Irish Cultural Center to celebrate both of their backgrounds as they blended their families and lives together.
The question came as we posed, danced, and walked our way through the streets of downtown. A simple, “would you like to come to the 15th floor of my apartment building where you can get a bird’s eye view of the entire Phoenix skyline?” All this from the sweetest stranger who happened to be washing his windows when he looked at the street below and noticed a photographer posing and taking photos of a couple on their wedding day.
I mean, are you kidding me?! This stranger walked us to his apartment complex and all the way up to the 15th floor where truly, we had a bird’s eye view, and private garden setting for bride and groom portraits immediately preceding the ceremony. Several of the photos turned into absolute favorites, and it was such an adventure getting to take these unexpected portraits for my couple!
The ceremony was the kind that made you thankful for your friendships. Kim and Jimmy were absolutely adored and celebrated on their most special day, incorporating longtime family and friends to read blessings over their new life together, and heavily involving their children in their bridal party. It was the kind of love people can only hope to find.
Kim and Jimmy’s reception was equally as sweet and fun, with all of their friends surrounding them in big ways, lots of special elements including the special dances and the Hora! Kim and Jimmy, I hope you love your images and look back fondly on these moments captured for years to come. 🙂 It was an honor to celebrate your love!
