There was an anxiety that hung in the air. Not the typical butterflies-in-your-stomach, getting-ready-to-walk-down-the-aisle kind, but an anticipation of a large friend and family gathering all gearing up to hit the dance floor! That’s right, Sydney and Carter’s reception party was a largely attended, lovely event celebrating their recent microwedding in California this summer.

Carter grabbed the microphone and welcomed all in attendance to a foodie experience like no other. There were stations set up all around the room, and that was only the beginning. There was also a plated meal for everyone in attendance. It truly was an event celebrating community, and what better way to do that than over a meal!

Something we hear in my church a lot is that community is established in circles, not rows. Sydney and Carter did an amazing job exemplifying this and welcoming everyone to their table. I love their generous spirits, and their love for those who are walking this life with them.
