She walked down the stairs at Wrigley Mansion, an air of poise and grace surrounding her. Every eye in the crowd turned their heads to watch her procession. Music, played by soft string instruments, embodied the moment. The bride, here for her wedding day, was simply more than a vision; she was a breath of fresh air.
As she made her way down the aisle, greeted by her father at the bottom of the overlooking staircase, she smiled, and tears began to fall from her family and friend’s eyes. I looked over to see her groom, as I always do, bottom lip quivering as she made her way towards him.
A breath of fresh air is the perfect way to describe this bride and her incredible zest for life. Throughout the reception toasts, when people mentioned Hailey’s name, she always had a zinger in return, “yeah I am! Yeah I did!”, or some other clever euphemism.
Weddings are beautiful throughout their entirety, but the ceremony, those treasured moments where man and woman come together, those are some of the most beautiful because of the symbolism there. Watching the intimate smiles and handholding exchanged between couples steals my heart, again and again.
Another beautiful part of the day is the First Dance and special dances between mothers and their sons and fathers and their daughters. The way a new husband and wife gaze into each other’s eyes is simply too perfect for words. It’s an incredible moment, shared by the crowd, and celebrated with those the couple holds closest in their lives.
Then, the party starts, and as you can imagine, this was one celebrated couple! The dance floor did not stop all evening! Hailey and Jonathan, it was a joy to capture your modern, elegant Fall wedding day amongst your family and friends. You two are treasured and I am so thankful for your friendship!
