Talk about the surprise of a lifetime. Rose petals set up in a circle “like a target” was how the scene was initially described to me, and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. The most whimsical and romantic setting grazed my eyes as I made my way into Sydney and Carter, their best friends’ backyard. A second surprise proposal this year?! I was all about it when Sydney let me in on the plans. I got there early, though just barely, because Haley was eager to get to what she thought was a celebratory dinner for Sydney, who just passed her boards to become a doctor in acupuncture medicine!

Under the ruse of this dinner, Hunter detained Haley as long as he could. Haley later remarked that Hunter was even “driving so slow” on the way and she had no idea why!

When I saw her face light up as Hunter dropped to one knee, I knew his plan had worked! Haley was genuinely surprised and so excited about her sweet proposal. The song “Amazing” by Teddy Swims played in the background while Hunter gently led Haley to the target of roses, dropped to one knee, and after a very quick yes, photos and celebrations ensued!

Haley and Hunter, it was an *incredible honor* to be trusted with these sweet memories and I’m sooooo excited to watch you two move forward and tie the knot! 🙂 I hope you love your images for years to come!! 🙂
