I’ll never forget the first time I met Jacqueline and Jared in Downtown Phoenix. This couple is not only stunning, they’re kind, funny, and easygoing. And don’t even get me started on Audrey, Jacqueline’s daughter. She is so poised for her age, and has the best jokes! I got to hear a couple of her jokes walking back from their session, and she had me cracking up!
The first line as we walked up was, “I’m sorry, the gardens are closed.” Scheduled to start at 3:30 pm and walking up a few minutes before, this was not what we expected to hear. Due to an unfortunate timing in a water line bursting, Desert Botanical Gardens had to shut down unexpectedly on a Sunday afternoon.
Jacqueline and Jared just rolled with it, they handled it with such grace, and for that I was so thankful! We ended up at Papago Park, right next door, to shoot their session, since they were dressed and ready!
This was my second time on a portrait location with Jacqueline and Jared. A completely different vibe, we had a glowing desert backdrop for this session. I’m so thankful for families like Jacqueline and Jared’s, who I get to work with every couple of years to update their photos and capture their legacy! I’m especially thankful to Jacqueline and Jared for going with the flow after an unexpected closure and still having a wonderful time smiling together during their portrait session!
Jacqueline and Jared, I hope you adore your updated photos and I’m already looking forward to sharing another session with you, this time at Desert Botanical Gardens, in the next couple of years! Thank you for trusting me with these precious memories.
