I stepped back with my camera in my hands, and lowered my camera from my face. For a moment, it was impossible to focus on the screen in front of me as I soaked in the love between Ashlye and Warren. Warren sweetly pulled Ashlye to his side before giving her a twirl. The twirl was met with kisses in the moment, and it was so beautiful to witness. Even the ducks seemed to stop in the water, while their oldest daughter, who accompanied us up for the end of the engagement session looked on.

Watching your parents be so in love is such a special memory for Ashlye and Warren’s two daughters, Loreli and Rori, who started the engagement session with us. The love that filled the air was more than evident from multiple perspectives. It was evident from the perspective that this soon-to-be bride and groom were so in love, but it was also very obvious of the love these four shared as a family.

The way the water touched the sand at the desert-esque park matched the softness in the moments Ashlye and Warren continued to share throughout our time together. I’ve had the privilege to work closely with Ashlye and Warren before so they already knew a lot of my posing cues, which meant we got to “hang out” in between poses. Their relaxed natures and down-to-earth personalities are exciting, fun, and adorable together.

Dressed in a wine red, floor length maxi dress, the flowy nature was picked up by the wind, along with the soft curls on her shoulders. While they twirled together, walked together, and stood around the water’s edge, it was such an honor to watch them just be. What I love about my couples is how unique their stories are, and how much I love celebrating their love with them. His blue dress shirt perfectly complemented her tones, and together they rocked the camera. Their session was nothing short of dull, especially given the added champagne elements at the end…but more on that later.

Ashlye and Warren, I hope you absolutely love your images, and they bring you joy for many years to come. It is an honor to know and serve y’all!
