Among them, six were their adult children becoming one blended family. Brooke and Doug took their love for each other, in front of all six of their adult children, three on each side, and blended their family together as one unit. The loving couple kept their ceremony intimate and sweet, with a family member officiating, and surrounded by mostly family at the altar. While stating their vows, Brooke and Doug stared lovingly into each other’s eyes. You could feel the love they held for one another.
I think often to myself how truly lucky I am to witness some of the most amazing moments of storytelling one could ever see. I get to see people profess their love for each other, witnessing in front of families, loved ones, and friends, how much they mean to each other. And then I get to photograph and document all of those happenings for them. Between details and “I Do’s”, I truly can’t imagine a better job! Brooke and Doug’s wedding happened to be the last one of my Fall season, which means in a total of just over one year, I photographed 30 weddings. 30! Wow, that seems amazing to me to say. With a business about 1 1/2 years old, I can’t wait to see what the next few years bring about for growth, connection, and opportunity!
Brooke and Doug chose a simple, nautical theme with seashells and blue runners across guests’ tables. They also brought in a yummy Mexican food truck for their meal, which they shared with just family and friends in their backyard. It was so fun to watch them mingle with their guests and enjoy their day! Brooke and Doug, I hope you had the most amazing day together enjoying your wedding and you enjoy these images for years to come!
