A first happened to me while at Sydney and Casey’s Engagement Session. In a little hidden photography gem of a place, there is a woman who is determined to prove the public land is private, and has been on a rampage of turning photographers over to the police. When this woman approached, she was sure to let me know I was trespassing and that she would be calling the nonemergent police line if my couple and I elected to continue photographing.
Luckily, we were able to confirm the spot is in fact public land, which is great news because it’s a spot I photograph often. See other examples on the blog with The Lipscombs, or Sam and Payton, for example.
The rest of the session went off without a hitch, and Sydney and Casey were such marvelous troopers, given the aforementioned circumstances. This sweet couple are two of those people you meet, and you just can’t help wanting to know more about them, their interests, and their relationship. They share the sweetest love for “nerdy” things as Sydney referenced on our Client Consultation, and are just plain laidback and fun!
Down for anything, they walked barefoot through the field, climbed in trees that Casey let me know give him his worst allergies, and went along with all of my creative ideas for their session! The giggles never stopped during our time together, and I have to admit, most of the giggles were from me. Its true, for me at least, that I have as much fun as my couples during our time together. The honor of being a marriage and portrait photographer simply doesn’t get old!
After I delivered a few sneak peeks, Sydney messaged me saying she was so thankful they trusted their gut when hiring their wedding photographer and couldn’t wait to see more of their session. I’m so grateful to help my clients feel beautiful and comfortable in front of the camera! Sydney and Casey, I hope you love and cherish your images for years to come. It was such a joy to create beautiful memories with y’all!
